Manually opening and closing timesheet periods


Open/close period

Monthly timesheet periods are either open or closed. Open timesheet periods allow associates to log their time. Logging time is not possible in closed periods because the timesheets are locked.

To open or close a period:

  1. Select Time tracking in the Ya.me sidebar.
  2. Select tab Period Management.
  3. By default, all months with at least 1 minute logged for the current year are listed there. You can select a different year from the dropdown at the top-left.
  4. Switch a corresponding toggle for the needed month:
    1. Turned on — The period is open. Anyone can log time during this period. Default state.
    2. Turned off — The period is closed. No one can log time for this period, as the timesheets are locked. Team leads/Approvers can still approve Timesheets, but they cannot edit any worklogs.
  5. The settings are saved automatically.
