The Release tool is a tool for efficiently releasing Associates from current Assignments when they are no longer needed, making them available for other projects.
Set a Release for an Associate
There are 2 ways to set a release for the Associate: on Planner and on the Release page
📓On the Release page you can create a release from all assignments for the projects. On the Planner, you create a release only for the chosen assignment. |
Pre-conditions:
- You can create a release only for the Associates who has active assignments in ERP for current or future dates.
- You cannot create release in the past

Here’s a step-by-step description of the flow:
- Initiate Release:
- On the Planner:
- Navigate to the Planner tab: Go to the “Planner” section
- Identify the needed assignment: Locate the associate you want with release from the projects. You can use the search function to find the associate quickly.
- Open the Assignment Menu: Select the assignment by clicking on its row.
- Click on the Burger Menu: In the top-right corner of the admin panel, click on the burger menu (three vertical dots) and select the “Set Release” option.
- On the Planner:
- On the Release tab
- Navigate to the Availability → Releases Tab: Go to the “Availability” section and select the “Releases” tab.
- Click “Create Release”:
- The process starts by clicking the “Set Release” button.
- Note: Ensure the Associate has an assignment for the needed dates.
- Select Project and input details:
- Choose the relevant project for which the release is being made.
- Input details such as the Department, Team member, and Last day on the project, Member informed.
- Release Type Decision:
- If the workload is less than 40 hours: Choose a part-time release.
- If the workload is 40 hours or more: Choose a full-time release.
- Input feedback about the associate impact and assessment a soft-skills on the project such as Performance, Team communication, Client communication, English skills, Performance to salary ratio, Issues
- Click Send
Part-Time Release Process:
Part-Time Release Resolution:
A part-time release can either be:
- Removed:
- The assignment end date is not changed
- The assignment becomes editable;
- A new release can be created.
- Accepted: If Accepted, check whether the contractor has available work hours (8h) for the next 7 days.
- If the contractor has available work hours after the release date:
- The assignment end date is changed to the Release date;
- A part-time assignment for the Associate is created on the project;
- A part-time assignment of the contractor is created on the project or bench for the next 7 days.
- If the contractor has no capacity after the release:
- The assignment end date has been changed to the release date.
- A part-time assignment for the Associate is created on the project.
- If the contractor has available work hours after the release date:
Full-Time Release Process:
Full-Time Release Resolution:
A full-time release can either be:
- Removed:
- Similar to part-time, where the assignment end date is unchanged,
- The assignment becomes editable for future releases.
- Accepted: If Accepted, check for contractor availability after the release date.
- If the contractor has available work hours for the next 7 days:
- The assignment end date is changed to Release
- The Associate is assigned to Bench for the available hours on the next 7 days.
- If there is no capacity after the release
- The assignment end date has been changed, but no further assignments have been made.
Edit a Release for an Associate
- Navigate to the Availability → Releases Tab: Go to the “Availability” section and select the “Releases” tab.
- Click Pencil icon at the end of the row for a needed Release: To open the edit page, please click on the Pencil icon.
- Modify Field Values: You can edit only the next information

Comment - Save Changes: Click “Save” to apply and save the changes.
The same logic of processing different types of releases applies when editing an existing release.
